Melbourne Airport, colloquially known as Tullamarine Airport, is the primary airport serving the city of Melbourne, and the second busiest airport in Australia with the Melbourne–Sydney air route is the third most-travelled passenger air route in the world. The airport features direct flights to 33 domestic destinations and destinations in the Pacific, Europe, Asia, North America and South America. Melbourne Airport is the number one arrival/departure point for the airports of four of Australia’s seven other capital cities. Terminal 4 of the Melbourne Airport is dedicated to budget airlines and is the first facility of its kind at a conventional airport in Australia.

Located a short 25-minute drive northwest of Melbourne’s CBD, the T4 Terminal garners large amounts of foot traffic across its 35,000m squared portion of the Airport. So, as pictured below, RBA supplied the T4 Terminal at Melbourne Airport with several ‘Inox’ Stainless Steel Self Closing Taps or the RBA1083-600. Designed for public washrooms, the tap has a self-closing time flow of 4-10 seconds, receiving RBA’s Green stamp and WELS’s 6 star (5.0L) rating. With these water-saving capabilities, the tap minimises water wastage, thus being a sustainable and economical option. Made from heavy-duty, Food-Grade Stainless Steel, the unit is anti-corrosive and hygienic, allowing for extensive use by high volumes of people that are constantly commuting through the Airport. The tap is Accessible Compliant, catering to users with Accessibility needs. Additionally, this specific unit holds a Polished Finish, matching the silver and grey notes of the washroom design and maintaining a high-end feel.
