RBA8519-100 – Commercial Shower Set | Conical

he Kings School is an independent Anglican, early learning, primary and secondary day and boarding school for boys, founded in 1831, Australia’s oldest independent school. Situated on a 148-hectare (370-acre) campus in Northern Parramatta, the school holds five boarding houses, Baker Hake, Bishop Barker Harris, Broughton Forrest, Gowan Brae (Year 7) and Macarthur Waddy. The school prides itself on its facilities and success of students, with consistently high HSC rankings and high proportions of university attendees post-graduation. The school aims to provide state of the art learning and living facilities to its approximate 2100 pupils and 360 boarders, with an emphasis on attaining leadership skills. The campus wishes to continue to upgrade such facilities, thus the redevelopment of the Bishop Barker Harris House commenced in 2017.

The existing building was extended and refurbished to provide contemporary boarding accommodation for 85 students, residential accommodation for Boarding House staff, indoor and outdoor student recreation areas, breakout spaces and student and staff amenities. It follows asymmetrical composition, the building persisting of a volumetric hierarchical arrangement to provide a clear sense of entry, tradition and cohesion with the architectural character of the rest of the Campus. With a priority for quality amenities that do not inhibit the integrity of the traditionalist design, RBA was requested to assist by supplying products that fit the brief, and we were more than happy to support Australia’s schools.

As a result, RBA provided several products, including the Conical Commercial Showerhead, as pictured below. The RBA8519-107 is made from Chrome plated Brass, making it heavy-duty and extremely vandal and ligature resistant. Additionally, it is water-saving, with a 3 star (7.0L/m) WELS rating. Exhibiting a Polished Finish, the Showerhead keeps to the design brief. Furthermore, the unit has matching handles, i.e. the Conical Commercial Shower Handles in Hot (RBA8519-104) and Cold (RBA8519-103). The Shower Handles are also made from Chrome plated Brass, categorising as heavy-duty and vandal and ligature resistant. The Handles exhibit a Bright Polish Finish, matching the Showerhead and being consistent with the rest of the washroom aesthetic. Altogether, each of these products come in an Assembly, i.e the RBA8519-100.
