The Latrobe Regional Hospital is a major regional medical centre located 158 kilometres east of Melbourne’s CBD and is one of the region’s largest employers with more than 1900 staff. The centre, catering to a population of 290,000 people, offers services including elective surgery, emergency care, aged care, obstetrics, mental health , pharmacy, rehabilitation and medical and radiation oncology. Latrobe Regional is Gippsland’s specialist referral and trauma centre and is the main provider of mental health services across the area. In addition, the hospital acts as a teaching hospital, closely affiliated with Monash University’s School of Rural Health and Federation University and providing placements and clinical experience for students. In providing to LRH, RBA showcases our spread of products through even the most remote of areas.
As a result, RBA supplied LRH with several Stainless Steel Ligature-Resistant Toilet Roll Holders, or the RBA8141-100. The unit is recessed, optimising space, but also strong, minimising maintenance and vandalism. The Holder is ligature resistant, the hooks snapping down for safety if excessively loaded. Bearing a Satin finish, it blends into the amenities, but is also offered in Enviro-Glaze® White for other aesthetics.
RBA additionally supplied our Bariatric Toilet, or the RBA8851-137. Made of Stainless Steel, the toilet can withstand loads of up to 910 kg with no measurable deflection and 2200 kg with no permanent damage, maintaining strong and secure for its intended usage. Furthermore, the 304-type, or “Food Grade” Stainless Steel is corrosion resistant and allows for optimal hygiene. The unit supplied to LRH has an optional P or S Trap, coming in an Enviro-Glaze® White Finish, best suited for the setting. However, this unit is also offered Enviro-Glaze® White external finish and a Stainless Steel internal finish, or a Stainless Steel total finish. Moreover, the unit is water-saving, holding a 3 Star (6.0L FF/3.0L HF/3.6L AF) WELS rating. The unit can additionally be accompanied by RBA’s Big John Bariatric Toilet Seat, or the RBA8186-853, of which was also provided to the site.
