Conserve water, conserve money! Water management for public facilities

Water conservation is an increasingly critical concern for facility managers, especially in high-traffic public showers where excessive water usage can lead to considerable waste, elevated utility expenses, and environmental strain. RBA’s shower solutions, like the Air-Trol™ and Time-Trol™ systems, address these challenges directly by offering efficient, user-friendly ways to minimize water consumption without sacrificing convenience or performance.

RBA8000-101 Air-Trol™ Valve

Pneumatic Water Control

The ultimate 'no-fuss' solution. Pneumatic water control systems like RBA's Air-Trol™ Pneumatic valve series add self-closing functionality to many of the common fixtures you would find in a public washroom including showers, basin tapware, bubblers and more. The most significant benefit of pneumatic systems over similar solutions is that they require no electricity to run - using only air and water pressure to actuate the valve. This dramatically simplifies installation and maintenance and greatly contributes to their fantastic reliability - we've seen still functional examples of our Air-Trol™ valves that were over 20 years old!

Additionally, RBA Air-Trol™ valves can be remotely installed up to 3 metres from their button, offering flexibility in design and installation. They also feature a non-hold open feature that prevents users from keeping the valve running unnecessarily, ensuring water flows only when needed. The adjustable runtime also allows facility managers to control how long the water runs based on the changing needs of users.

RBA's Air-Trol™ valves are also available in a wide range of configurations to allow for multiple valves off one input, mixing hot and cold and more!

RBA8010-100 TimeTrol™ Water Management Valve Kit

Electronic Water Control

For those desiring more precise control over their water usage, electronic control is the next step on your water management journey. Given the timing and valve operation are controlled entirely via programming, electronic control systems are infinitely adjustable to suit any application. Many, including our Time-Trol™ Water Management Kits, maximise water conservation by incorporating novel techniques like lockouts (preventing the valve from being reactivated too soon after use) or cycle interrupts (allowing the user to manually deactivate the valve when they're finished). As standard, our Time-Trol™ Kit has 12 pre-programmed options to suit everything from handwashing to showers, allowing them to dial in each fixture to suit specific usage patterns.
